Comparing China Dr TIP #2 & Japanese Dr TIP

Introduction
China Dr TIP #2 is a failed replica by a PSH spinner - thediy. Originally, thediy meant to produce a quality replica of the popular yet expensive Japanese Dr TIP in China, but the plating technology of the manufacturer hired by thediy failed to meet expectation and thus, the unfinished replica failed to shine like original Japanese Dr TIP. The failed China Dr TIP is still usable because it has identical shape,size and weight. It is sold at less than half the price of Japanese Dr TIP in China. So, i call it China Dr TIP #2 (lazy to type China Dr TIP 2nd Grade Replica each time -_-' ).

I am writing this article about the comparison between China Dr TIP #2 and Japanese Dr TIP as a collection of data as well as providing some points to those who are considering whether or not to "accept" this China Dr TIP #2 in their spinning mods.

Comparison
There are three visible differences between China Dr TIP #2 and Japanese Dr TIP.

Difference #1: China Dr TIP #2 is not as shiny as Japanese Dr TIP. 

Due to the failure in finishing plating, the China Dr TIP #2 does not have a chrome surface like Japanese Dr TIP.

Difference #2: The lead hole of China Dr TIP #2 is smaller and not usable. 

It is for THE appearance only. No usable for retractable Minwoo Mod.

Difference #3: China Dr TIP #2 has no threaded hole.

It is made solely for modding purpose and for mods that don't need the threaded hole such as Dr.KT and Minwoo Mod (No usable for retractable Minwoo Mod.though).

However, these visible differences are not noticeable when spinning in video. 

My conclusion is, depend on your location and compare the means and costs to get China Dr TIP #2 and Japanese Dr TIP, if the China Dr TIP #2 is a significantly cheaper choice and you are not so particular about the appearance of the tip for spinning uses (may still change to Japanese Dr TIP for photo shooting), then go ahead and get China Dr TIP #2. If the costs to get China Dr TIP #2 is not significantly cheaper and easier than getting the Japanese Dr TIP, then there is no need for you to consider getting a China Dr TIP #2 at all (unless you want to get one to look, touch, feel and test it for yourself).
